Yes. A sales job involves a range of skills. Salespeople should be equipped with such knowledge to facilitate their work.

Yes. Employers should devise a special payment scheme for its sales staff which should be divided into a base pay plus commissions. Commissions can be incentives to motivate salespeople to be top sellers.

VIII. 数字知识系列（一）
（一）数字
(1)   These numbers are often confusing.
在说基数词时，有些数字容易混淆。他们就是几十和十几。例如：
13   thirteen              30   thirty
14   fourteen             40   forty
15   fifteen               50   fifty
16   sixteen               60   sixty
17   seventeen             70   seventy
18   eighteen              80   eighty
19   nineteen              90   ninety
  
(2)   The word hundred and thousand are always used without an s.
当hundred和thousand在表示某一个具体的数字时总是没有复数变化的。例如：
200            two hundred
3,000  three thousand
N.B.
1500        fifteen hundred (one and a half thousand)
2300  twenty-three hundred
4600  forty-six hundred

In British English, the word hundred is followed by and. In American English, It isn’t.
在英国英语中，hundred的后面总是要跟上一个and，而在美语中，就不用。例如：
432                four hundred and thirty-two(British)
four hundred thirty two   (American)

(二) Telephone numbers
在表述电话号码时，我们应注意以下几个原则：
（1）    电话号码要一位一位的说；
（2）    遇到数字0时，在电话英语中念成是oh(英国英语)或zero（美国英语）。
（3）    在电话号码中如果遇到两个相同的数字可以念成是double X。
比如：6256 7899可以念成是 six two five six seven eight double nine
再比如：010 62655937 可以念成是oh one oh six two six double five nine three seven。
（4）    与电话英语还有一些相关词汇，它们也会在听力考试中出现的，它们是：
extension n. 分机 (ext.)   switchboard n. 交换机
operator n.接线员    area code 地区号码

VI. 完型填空。
Dear Miss Brown.
