语速适中,题目难度偏大,出现较多难听懂的高难度词汇,如,bizarre(异乎寻常的),irrespective(不考虑的,无关的),dividends(股息,红利),admittedly(诚然,无可否认),ruthlessly(无情地,冷库地,残忍地),forfeit(丧失,被没收),fabricate(捏造),detriment(损害,伤害),intuitive(直观的),crystallize(使……变明确),aversion(厌恶,反感)
1,Question 9:What are people under 30 advised to do to achieve financial security?(为了实现财务安全,作者建议30岁以下的人应该做什么?) If you are under 30 years old, your goal should be to save 20% of your monthly income after tax deductions.(如果你不到30岁,你的目标应该是每月省下来你税后收入的20%。) 2,Question 12:What do we learn about the speaker when she first started her job?(当说话人刚开始工作的时候,我们能得知什么?) However, when I first started my job, occasionally I’d catch a glimpse of myself in the lifts, and find myself thinking that I looked a total mess.(然而,当我刚开始工作的时候,我常常会在电梯镜子里无意中注意到自己的影子,并且觉得自己看起来很糟糕。)
Question 4:What did the woman say she would do at the end of the conversation?(在对话结束,女人说她将会做什么?) I’ve already spoken to him and you can tell him I’m furious now and that your company has a lawsuit on its hands. You will be hearing from my lawyer. Question 21:What does the speaker think of the researchers’ findings?(说话人认为研究者的发现如何?) The findings seem intuitive to me.(这些发现似乎对我来说很直观。) Question 25:What might explain the fact that songs people listen to in their teen years are memorable and beloved?(什么能解释人们在青春期听的歌曲很难忘也备受他们钟爱这个事实?) Psychology research has shown that the emotions that we experience as teens seem more intense than those that come later. And we also know that intense emotions are associated with stronger memories and preferences. Both of these might explain why the songs we listen to during this period become so memorable and beloved.(心理研究表明,我们青春期经历的感情比今后的更激烈。
2,Question 12:What do we learn about the speaker when she first started her job?(当说话人刚开始工作的时候,我们能得知什么?)的答案句——However, when I first started my job, occasionally I’d catch a glimpse of myself in the lifts, and find myself thinking that I looked a total mess. 2,Question 13:Why were uniforms are invented according to the speaker?(作者认为人们为什么发明制服?)答案所在句——But no one can be unique with their outfit every day. I mean that’s why uniforms were invented.(但是没有人能够让他们每天穿的衣服都显得很特殊。 2,Question 19:What did the team of scientists find in their study?(科学家团队在他们的研究中发现了什么?)的答案句——they found that 12% of respondents reported the distance they drove as less than the actual figure, giving an average answer of 384 miles.(他们发现12%的问题回答者都会上报小于自己实际里程数的数据,平均只有384英里。)
Question 2:What is the problem the woman’s family encountered?(女人家里遇到了什么问题?),又如,Question 9:What are people under 30 advised to do to achieve financial security?(为了实现财务安全,作者建议30岁以下的人应该做什么?)
2,Question 5:What do we learn about the speakers from the conversation?(从这个对话当中,我们能了解到说话人什么?) Question 18:What do we learn about the items in the speaker's home?(我们能够得知关于说话人家里的物品的什么信息?) Question 22:What does the speaker mainly discuss in this talk?(在这篇讲话中,说话人主要讨论了什么?)
1,Question 3:What has caused the so-called “bizarre technical detail” according to the man?(男人认为,什么导致了所谓的“特殊技术细节”?),又如,短文2,Question 13: Why were uniforms are invented according to the speaker?(作者认为人们为什么发明制服?) Question 25:What might explain the fact that songs people listen to in their teen years are memorable and beloved?(什么能解释人们在青春期听的歌曲很难忘也备受他们钟爱这个事实?)
Question 4:What did the woman say she would do at the end of the conversation?(在对话结束,女人说她将会做什么?) 需要根据女人所说的最后几句话推测得来——I’ve already spoken to him and you can tell him I’m furious now and that your company has a lawsuit on its hands. You will be hearing from my lawyer.
