Impression in Wisdom

How time flies! It has been three months less than a year since I became an “official” clerk of Wisdom electronic company. At first, I felt unconfident, unstable as I don’t know what to do and how to go with the beginning of my career (no to say career planning).
The first step, get known of products of the company-series of meter:DS/DTSD178 and DS/DTSD179 including three phase three wire and three phase four wire; collectors(series of CLL064
Unstable-I think this is the most proper word I can use to describe my “state” or my feeling during the first three months of my working experience. It has already been a custom that female clerks are not sent to places where our equipments operates on engineering tasks. I felt so boring at that time that when I was asked to working in the workshop, I felt strongly “happy”. In fact, I worked there full of passion. Now, when I recalled on the experience of that time, I still regard it as a precious chance to get familiar to meter-manufacturing procession and practice, getting familiar to the workers of the workshop, with whom I should keep close contact during my daily work in the following days.
It was not until December that I began to work on myself(as Zhu Yuyan was pregnant and I took over her part of job).At the beginning ,I really didn’t have enough confidence in myself and I felt uncertain about everything I do. It was unavoidable to make mistakes and my way of thinking was not mature enough at the beginning. To speak the truth, I spared no efforts to make clear of the nature of my job and had thought out many “strategies”: keeping diaries so as to get familiar with lists of the materials of our products, with the points that should be paid attention to- the functions demanded varies with each customer from minor points to general function; customers of different provinces have different demands for products- sometimes even a few resistors or capacitors or different distributions of Integrated Circuit can change a lot of the functions of a board. Having taken the course of Protel 99SE, there is no difficulty for me to study the fundamental designing blueprint of series of products. Under the condition of having the same PCB, we can make modifications to the board to improve its functions when there is an urgent supplying deadline while there is no storage of the right board, or to deal with the remaining storage of boards that are not marketable or challengeable enough. I will construct modification methods in advance so it saves time when I show them to our chief hardware engineers. Meantime, the main purpose of my doing this lies in the fact that I want to get much more familiar with the hardware constructions of these board. When a supplying contract of our products comes, I will study the technical protocols word by word and conclude the functions that our products should supply with. For meters, load profile, load alarm, and so forth; for collecting terminals, first of all, there are different versions of software in use in different areas (divided in provinces); secondly, the question of upload and downlink protocols. In my opinion, the concept of “bus” is widely used in the metering automation system: the meters calculate the energy consumption in the transmission line and stored the data, the main station is established to enquiry the data, while the collecting terminals play the role of the medium between the meters and the main station. The RS485 interfaces of the meters are cascaded by communication cables (Unshielded twisted pair or shielded twisted pair), by which the data stored in them are collected and uploaded on the basis that the meters and the terminal “handshake” with each other by the same protocol. This communication principle also goes with the data transmission between the collecting terminals and the billing main station. Although not having taken the job of technical assessment for long, I have spent time thinking over on the nature of it: it plays the role of connecting bridge that coordinates the marketing sector with the manufacturing sector; it requires for expert analytical and interpersonal skills on the basis of being extremely familiar with the different demands of different customers and the rigid but structured procedures. Many aspects of problems should be taken into considerations: how to satisfy the demands of our customers to the utmost extent, how to bring down the costs of the company to the largest point……However, to tell the truth, in my opinion, my current and long-run consideration is how to work most efficiently.
All above is my interpretation for my next-to-a-year working experience in Wisdom. As is named, Wisdom has gathered wise of all her members as well as hardworking, responsibility and diligence. I have been deeply nurtured by this “wise” atmosphere and hope that my minor devotion shall bring new blood to her prosperous development. POETSCRIPT: On July 2nd,2007, I graduated from
