纽约时代广场惊现神秘爆炸物

　　NEW YORK - The dark-colored sports utility vehicle which triggered the evacuation of Times Square on Saturday night was found to contain explosives, gasoline, propane and burned wires, a New York Fire Department officer told Reuters.

　　纽约——纽约消防局的一名职员表示，由于发现一辆深色的SUV里装有炸药、汽油、丙烷和燃烧过的导线，周六晚上（警方）对时报广场采取了疏散行动。

　　The officer, who did not give his name because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said a man was seen fleeing the car and police had protectively evacuated several blocks around the popular tourist area in the center of Manhattan in case there were other devices.

　　由于没有被授权接受媒体采访，该名职员并没有透露自己的姓名，但他表示，一名男子被发现逃离该辆汽车，而位于曼哈顿中心的时报广场是热门的旅游点，为确保安全，警方已经对广场附近的几个街区采取力疏散行动，以防该区域还有其它的爆炸装置。

　The officer said law enforcement at the scene of the sports utility vehicle -- which was smoking and from which popping sounds were heard earlier -- were treating the vehicle as a "failed device."

　　该名职员说，SUV现场有烟冒出而且早前曾经传出爆炸的声音，到场的执法人员将该SUV视为“未能引爆的（爆炸）装置”。
