Pique

　　The official mascot of this World Cup was Pique, a jalape o pepper, characteristic of Mexican cuisine, with a moustache, a Colimote sombrero, and Mexican football team colours. Its name comes from picante, Spanish for spicy peppers and sauces.

　　1986年第十三届世界杯在墨西哥举行，推出的吉祥物是一个名为“皮克”、头戴尖顶草帽的拟人化辣椒。这也突出了墨西哥的两大特产“草帽”和“辣椒”。“皮克”为好球之意。

　　此外，辣椒的“眼睛”几乎被草帽遮住，也增添了墨西哥世界杯的神秘感。
