　　Recorder John Wright sentenced Mahoney to ten months behind bars.

　　不过他们的朋友却是旁观者清，他说当时他们在喝酒聊天的时候，曼哈尼对女孩有些不满意，两人在言语中发生了些小口角，可能是曼哈尼想对女孩报复，所以才会这样做。法官也认为曼哈尼的玩笑有些过火，所以判处了他十个月的监禁。
