　　伊丽莎白·泰勒与理查德·伯顿在主演了《埃及艳后》的第二年——1964年3月15日宣布结婚，之后两人又一起出现在了包括《群英会》、《灵欲春宵》、《春风无限恨》在内的11部电影之中，两人在1974年6月26日结束了第一段长达10年的婚姻生活。因为泰勒已经无法再生育了，她和伯顿领养了一个名叫玛利亚的德国。1975年10月10日，这对昔日夫妻宣布复婚，好景不长，10个月后，第二段婚姻还是以破裂告终。1984年8月5日，58岁的理查德·伯顿因脑溢血去世于瑞士。

　　Taylor married actor and producer, Richard Burton on March 15, 1964 after both starring in 'Cleopatra' (1963). Over the years, the love birds appeared in several productions together, including 'The V.I.P.s' (1963), 'The Sandpiper' (1965), the dynamic 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf' (1966) and 'The Taming of the Shrew' (1967). In total, they appeared in 11 movies together.

　　They then divorced on June 26, 1974 after 10 years of marriage and one child, Maria Burton, a German girl they adopted as a baby since Taylor could no longer have children. Burton and Taylor later remarried on Oct. 10, 1975 but divorced shortly before a year together on Aug. 1, 1976. Burton was known for his great looks and beautiful speaking voice. He died at the age of 58 on Aug. 5, 1984 in Switzerland from a cerebral hemorrhage.
