It seems that people prefer their eggs with a side of comedy, a new study has found.
Netflix has analyzed the viewing patterns of its customers and found 34% of subscribers who access the platform at 6 am are choosing episodes of classic comedies and mainstream sitcoms.
It was also discovered that users enjoyed dramas on their lunch break, thrillers at dinner and documentaries for a late night snack.
Binge-watching is said to have started when Netflix made the bold move of releasing an entire season of 'House of Cards' in 2013.
Now that consumers are no longer bound by the constraints of television schedules, they are able to watch any genre at any time of the day.
'For years our lives had to fit around television, now it's the other way around,' said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content.
'We've given consumers control and it's interesting to see the behaviors that emerge when viewers aren't tied to a schedule.'
'And even more so to see that these routines are replicated by millions the world over.'
Netflix gathered data from users across 22 countries to see what types of series people are binging during certain parts of the day.
Around 6 am, 34 percent of subscribers are watching comedies such as 'Fuller House', 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'Friends'.
But once lunch time rolls around, many users switched over to more serious shows.
Across the world, drama accounts for 47 percent of viewing between noon and 2 pm, which is a 5 percent increase compared to the rest of the day.

However, they feel dramas such as 'Shameless', 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Orange is the New Black' are only good when the sun goes down.
And for those who like to watch television while they eat tend to choose thrillers like 'Walking Dead', 'Stranger Things' and 'Breaking Bad'.
'Globally the genre sees a 27% increase come 9 pm. But viewers are kicking Rick Grimes, the Upside Down and Walter White out of bed by 11 pm,' Netflix shared in the press release.
Once 11 pm strikes viewers preferred to snack on documentaries such as 'Abstract', 'Making a Murderer' and 'Planet Earth' – this genre also saw a 24 percent increase in viewing during this time.
'Ultimately, Netflix-time is anytime. When viewers fit TV watching around their daily lives, rather than the other way around, we see peak streaming as early as 5 pm in India to as late as 10 pm in Argentina and Singapore,' Netflix explained.
'When it comes to defining the new 'rules' of TV watching, Frank Underwood said it best: 'If you don't like how the table is set, turn over the table.'
