A Coalition Victory in the War on Terror

2007-05-15来源:和谐英语

This weekend NATO forces in Afghanistan announced a major blow against the Taliban. Sunday morning they displayed the body of Mullah Dadullah, considered by most to be the Taliban's foremost operational commander, and a close ally of the Taliban's top leader, the one-eyed Mullah Muhammad Omar. While all this was taking place, the United States was also being dealt another setback in its war in Iraq. Three US Soldiers were captured by insurgent forces, and remain missing. Al-Qaida claims to be holding them. So just how well is the Bush-Administration's war on terror going? And what kind of impact is it having on US support around the world, and the US domestic political situation.
