CRI听力:China to Ensure Toy Safety
The third round of on-the-spot inspections as part of a national four month campaign to boost China's product quality and food safety has taken place in several areas in the southern province of Guangdong.
Speaking at one company involved in the toy export industry, Vice Premier Wu Yi - who also heads the national leading group on product quality and safety issues - said that ensuring the safety and quality of Chinese made goods was the best way to protect their reputation.
The toys produced by the company are subject to rigorous repeated quality testing. At the same time it has laboratories with state-of-the-art technology and strict management procedures to ensure the safety and durability of its products.
Li Changjiang, head of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and vice leader of the group, said the management experience and practices of this company should become a point of reference for other manufacturers.
"While some foreign media were discussing the problems of Chinese toys, orders of this company did not decrease but in fact increased by 10 percent. This proves that product quality is the life of a company, and only by improving product quality can companies develop properly."
The company in question has a 100 percent record in terms of the quality of the toys it exports, with not one single recall over its 30-year history.
