CRI听力:U.S. Chief Nuclear Negotiator Leaves Pyongyang

U.S. chief nuclear envoy Christopher Hill said on Wednesday that he was satisfied with the results of good talks with North Korean Foreign Ministry officials and the "disablement activities are going well on schedule."

The U.S. assistant secretary of state made the remarks after concluding a three-day visit to Noth Korea.

"They've done a lot of work in preparation and discharging the fuel, reactors, big effects... that will mean they can;t easily put it back, that will enable the disabling real value."

During his stay, Hill took a full tour of Yongbyon nuclear facilities and had 2 rounds of duscussions with his counterpart, North Korea's vice Minister Kim Gue Guam In Pyongyang. Hill said both sides also discussed next steps and "factors needed to try to keep the pace and get to the end of this."

Regarding the alleged uranium enrichment program and when the north Korea will make a declaration of dismantling its nuclear program, Hill said the DPRK is working very hard for the declaration, and the US wants to see a complete declaration.

"We want to make sure that they would also include all the facilities, materials and program that DPRK is had in nuclear areas, and in many years, it had this nuclear ambitions..."

According to a six-party talks joint document released in Beijing in Oct, North Korea agreed to disable all the existing nuclear facilities and provide a complete and correct declaration of all its nuclear programs by the end of this year.
