CRI听力：CNSA Releases Latest Moon Pictures

China's National Space Administration, or CNSA on Sunday released a series of new pictures sent back by Chang'e -1, the contry's first lunar probe. The administration says all the equipment on Chang'e-1, has been in full operation. Communication with the orbiter and data transmitting and processing are all in good condition. Our reporter Yao Yongmei has more.

Reporter: All the instruments on the Chang'e-1 are in full operation now, and some scientific progress has already been made based on the data collected by Chang'e-1.

The China National Space Administration has published four series of moon pictures and some data sent back by Chang'e-1.

Pei Zhaoyu, the spokesman with CNSA said the probe begun its first orbital maintenance on December 2, and till now it is quite successful.

"Chang'e-1's first orbital maintenance obtains a very good effect. It is now with a perilune of 193 km and an apolune of 194 km and the results coincide with what we have designed."

Scientific researchers are processing the data taken by the CCD camera carried by Chang'e-1, and have produced diagrams, three-dimensional maps and elevation maps of some regions on the moon.

Li Chunlai is the chief designer of the ground application system of the lunar probe.

"The map is the model of combination of plane data and high-level data. This three-dimensional map can vividly show the characteristics of a specific region on the moon."

Li added that with the accumulation of data, the precision of maps will also be enhanced.

CNSA will continue to publish the lunar exploration data after analysis.

The CNSA released the first picture of the moon captured by Chang'e-1 on Nov. 26, marking the full success of its lunar probe project.

The successful launch of Chang'e 1 in late October is a substantial step in the country's flagship lunar probe program.
