CRI听力：New Expressway Alleviate Transportation Pressure
A newly completed expressway between Beijing and neighboring Tianjin municipality is expected to further alleviate transport pressure on the busy route during the Beijing Olympics.

The new expressway, which opened on Wednesday, is about 140 kilometers long, with a designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour.
Zhou Zhengyu is the spokesman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Communications.
"With the designed speed of 120 kilometers per hour, it only takes about an hour to drive from Beijing to Tianjin, and costs 70 yuan. It's expected to significantly relieve the pressure on the current expressway."
The 8-lane road is rare among intercity expressways. It parallels the newly built high-speed railway between the two cities, which is scheduled to open next month.
By the time the Olympics opens, there will be five high-speed routes linking the two Olympic cities.
