Besides residential buildings, schools and hospitals will be given priority in renovation work.
Wen Jiabao has encouraged local residents in Qingchuan county to prepare themselves for a long battle.
"The road ahead is still very tough. I'd like to quote today's newspaper that says we've overcome the past 100 days with great difficulty, but we have to fight for another 1,000 days. I believe as long as we make an effort, we're bound to build a new Qingchuan."
During the four-day trip that began on Sunday, Premier Wen also visited Dujiangyan city's Xinjian primary school, where students are continuing their studies in makeshift buildings.
Agriculture and industry is also gradually recovering in the quake-hit area.
