CRI听力:Livni Won Primary Election in the Kadima Party
Israel's foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, has won a victory in the ruling Kadima Party's primary election.
Local news service Ynet reported that the Party released final results early on Thursday that Lvni beat her main rival, Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz, by a narrow margin of 431 votes, or some one percentage point.

"The next step will be to form a new coalition, and a new government which will be more or less the same as the current coalition government, with the same partners."
The primary election is Kadima Party 's first since it was founded in 2005. More than half of the 74-thousand party members cast their ballots.
Results of the polls placed Tzipi Livni in a good position to become Israel's first female leader in 34 years and replace Prime Minister Ehud Olmert as head of Kadima.
Olmert, the target of a career-ending corruption probe, had promised to step down as soon as a new Kadima leader is chosen. He will remain as a caretaker leader until a new coalition is approved by the parliament.
