CRI听力:Chinese Authorities Start Marine Inspection on South China Sea

Marine authorities in South China's Hainan and Guangdong provinces have jointly implemented a four-day sea inspection in the northern area of the South China Sea.
Officials say the regular patrol will provide timely help to vessels in trouble, ensure their security and protect the marine environment.(Www.hXen.com)
Xu Tianjun, captain of the No.31 patrol ship, said all information on vessels within the area is available to the marine authorities.
"All the detailed information of the vessels will be transmitted to the onboard radar through the Automatic Identification System."
The captain said he believed the patrol will better serve the vessels in this area.
The official said that all AIS bases on sea and land have been rechecked, which will help improve the long-distance monitoring capacity of the marine authorities.
