China hopes to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Sino-French diplomatic ties in a harmonious and happy atmosphere.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Liu Jianchao made the remarks at a regular press conference on Tuesday.
"China treasures the progress and achievements made between the two sides since the establishment of China-France ties 45 years ago. We hope we can celebrate the 45th anniversary in a harmonious and happy atmosphere and with a sense of achievement."(WWw.hxen.net)
Liu Jianchao said France should take action to correct the mistakes on Tibet-related issues in order to create the essential conditions for the development of China-France relations.
Liu Jianchao added that China congratulates Abhisit Vejjajiva as the new Prime Minister of Thailand.
"We hope our friendly neighbor of Thailand will maintain social harmony and economic development for the prosperous livelihood of its people."
