"China Development Bank is allocating an additional 30 billion yuan or 4.4 billion US dollars credit to help Taiwan high-tech enterprises in the mainland to overcome difficulties. Bank of China has established a special working group to simplify the financing procedure."
Yang Yi added that banks have encountered some difficulties during the financing process, such as a lack of efficient resources to know the actual credit status of enterprises. He says they were taking measures to solve the problems and pledged to provide better financial services to those enterprises according to their particular needs.
Statistics show that up to the end of 2007, banks on the Chinese mainland have loaned some 700 billion yuan to more than 6,000 enterprises from Taiwan.
