South China's Guangdong provincial quality inspectors have released the results of a survey on housing quality in the region.
It shows that 15 percent of the residential properties are of inferior quality.
Moreover, a member of the survey team warns the public not to buy apartments built in the provincial capital Guangzhou between late 2007 and early last year. (www.hxen.net)
Modern Express, a Nanjing-based newspaper, published a commentary, saying the warning reveals long-standing quality problems in China's property market.
The author notes dissatisfaction about housing quality dominates the property-related complaints from home owners.
The article urges quality inspectors to supervise the property market more closely.
