CRI听力: Rival Zoos Battle over Profits Generated by Polar Bear
A German court on Tuesday told the Berlin and Neumuenster zoos to settle their price dispute over a polar bear.
Berlin Zoo offered to pay some 480,000 US dollars for the Knut, a two-year-old bear, but Neumuenster rejected the offer, insisting it wanted double that amount.

"You know at the moment Knut is in Berlin. We have been having constructive talks with Berlin Zoo, and we want to continue to do so. That's why we don't want to have the situation where we say you either pay or we take Knut away."
Neumuenster Zoo is seeking to force Berlin Zoo to openly state how much it has made in royalties from Knut, whose image has been reproduced in posters, books and countless stuffed toys.
Knut remains hugely popular and his fans boosted Berlin Zoo's attendance levels by 27 percent in 2007, bringing in some 9 million US dollars.
As the zoos have failed to settle on a final amount, the Berlin court ordered the two sides to agree by July 13.
