2009-06-07来源:和谐英语

The provincial government of north China's Shanxi Province recently circulated a notice criticizing some local governments who they say failed to respond to public opinions posted on their official websites.

The Beijing-based People's Daily newspaper published an article, suggesting that the move will promote the Internet to serve as a bridge between the government and the public.(www.hXen.com)

But the article points out the public need more avenues to air their grievances.

The writer notes that as the government attaches more and more attention to online public opinion, officials should also consider those who have no access to the Internet.

The writer calls on the media and the justice department to provide the public with more informal platforms. This way, the public can express their opinions openly and their problems can be solved according to law.
