CRI听力:Examinees Warned Not to Trust Answer Keys to Post-graduate Exams Sold Online

2012-01-06来源:CRI

The exam is a multi-subject qualification test for the masters' programs in colleges and universities. A few days ahead of the test, hundreds of so-called online service organizations are claiming to offer the real answer keys to test-takers. They even promise the students will pass the test with flying colors by using those answers.

"The answers we have are totally accurate and reliable. We have been selling them for many years. We have a lot of experience, so you don't have to doubt us."

The lady in charge of the illegal service says, there are two ways to get answer keys. One is to have them sent by email. The other is to have the answers sent to a hidden digital device while taking the exam.

Many students have voiced their anger over the fraud.

"I think the post-graduate exam must be conducted on the basis of fairness and justice. Any fraud in the test is intolerable."

Measures have been taken to fight against exam fraud. Li Qingzhong, director of a university's post-graduate department, explains.

"Once the test papers are printed out, they are immediately sealed and sent to the security room, which is guarded around the clock until the exam day. Tight security measures are put in place through the entire process, so we dare say it is impossible that the test papers have been leaked or exposed."

Li has warned students not to trust the online services claiming to offer answer keys, stating that the only purpose of these online services is to rip students off.

"I paid 5,500 yuan, or around 900 US dollars from my Internet bank account to the service who promised to offer me the answer keys. But later, I found his mobile phone disconnected, so I realized I was duped."

Li says cheaters will face severe penalty.

"If caught cheating, he or she will be banned from the exam immediately. What's more, they will also be banned from taking next year's exam."

More than one and a half million test-takers took the post-graduate exam last year, a 6 percent increase over 2010. The number of test takers this year is expected to hit a record high.
