2013-02-04来源:CRI

February is a big month for the film industry, when movie makers look to capitalize on school holidays and the start of a new year.

After the blockbusters "Lost in Thailand" and "The Grand Master," what are the expectations of the audience in February?

"I'm interested in the new James Bond movie. I'm a big fan. I like movies about secret agents which always have beautiful women, car chases and high tech. Among the Chinese movies I'd like to watch is 'Journey to the West.' Stephen C how never lets me down. In his comedies, he makes you laugh so hard you cry."

"I'd like to watch a comedy during the spring festival. I'd also like watch the foreign blockbusters."

"I'm interested in foreign movies such as 'Skyfall' and 'Cloud Atlas.' I've watched every James Bond movie. And I heard that 'Cloud Atlas' is good, too. It features many Hollywood stars. I'm quite looking forward to it."

"I'd like to watch the movie 'Better and Better,' because I think it's good to watch a movie with Chinese elements."

More than 10 new productions are set to greet movie fans in February.

One of the most popular one is the latest sequel in the James Bond movies, "Skyfall. It features Daniel Craig's third performance as James Bond.

The movie centers on Bond investigating an attack on MI6; the attack is part of a plot by former MI6 operative Raoul Silva to humiliate, discredit and kill M as revenge against her for betraying him. "Skyfall" is the last film of the series for Judi Dench, who played M, a role that she had played in the previous six films.

"Cloud Atlas" features multiple plotlines set across six different eras. The movie explores how the actions and consequences of individual lives impact one another throughout the past, the present and the future.

The movie posts a galaxy of the world's brightest stars including Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, and Chinese actress Zhou Xun. And the directors of the movie, Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer are also world famous for "The Matrix," "Perfume: The Story of a Murder," and "Lola Run."

Renowned actor and director Stephen Chow will also entertain fans with " Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons" – a prequel to the classic comedy "A Chinese Odyssey." Featuring Huang Bo, Wen Zhang and Shu Qi, the new movie will follow the youthful Tripitaka and the Monkey King as they encounter various foes. Demons such as the White Bone Spirit will take center stage once again, and some new characters will be introduced.

Stephen Chow tells why he's so deeply in love with the story.

"I always believe that 'Journey to the West' is a good story which can be and should be shot as a movie. The story is full of imagination. The only question is whether we can do it well."

"Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons" will be released on February 10, the first day of the lunar year.

"101st Marriage Proposal" is a remake of the popular 1991 Japanese TV series of the same name. In this movie, Huang Bo portrays a man down on his luck who tries his utmost to propose to a young cellist portrayed by Lin Chiling. The movie will be released during Valentine's Day.

And for children, there's "Happy Goat and Big Big Wolf," and their adventures for the fourth time. A French movie "Le petit Nicolas," ("Little Nicolas") based on a series of children's books also has its much-anticipated premiere on February 10.
