2014-03-02来源:CRI

Chinese mobile phone brands have been launching a number of new models at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

CRI's Li Dong has the details.

Reporter: Chinese mobile phone provider ZTE presented its new Grand Memo II as well as the Open C smartphone with Firefox OS 1.3, and MiFavor 2.3 interface at the event.

ZTE is a world leader in telecommunications equipment and network solutions; it is one of the fastest growing smartphone producers in the world.

In addition, Chinese tech leader Huawei also showcased several new products, such as the Ascend G6 and MediaPad X1, the thinnest "phablet" (a combination of phone and tablet) in the world.

During its presentation, Huawei highlighted that its aim is to present products at an attractive and accessible price, while never failing to innovate and listen to the needs of its clients.

Yu Chengdong is the CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group.

"This year is a big year for the 4G. Consumers don't only need smartphones, they also need a modem on their cell phones—they want a tablet as well. To cater to their needs and welcome the 4G network, especially the first 4G in China, we are going to provide more quality 4G products. We hope our five new products will begin to sell in China soon. We hope the consumers will enjoy the 4G experience brought by our products. They are much better than the 3G products."

Zhang Renjun, vice president of ZTE, says 2014 is a big year for 4G in China. And ZTE is prepared.

"Our focus is on the new technology of 4G and making preparation on 5G. In addition, we also focus on building "smart" homes, "smart" cities, "smart" security, as well as providing integrated solutions for enterprises and government by using smart technology. ZTE aims to maintain the lead in the 4G technology. Meanwhile, we are committed to becoming an enterprise with the fastest market growth and biggest market share in the 4G generation. We also hope to expand our business on building enterprising network."

The MWC is one of the largest exhibitions for the mobile industry. This year's event is expected to attract 75-thousand people from over 200 countries and regions, as well as 1,800 companies from the industry.
