CRI听力:More Chinese Preparing to Leave Libya as Clashes Intensify
More Chinese nationals are preparing to leave Libya now that Islamic militias are claiming control of Benghazi, Libya's second largest city.
The Chinese embassy in Libya is facilitating the evacuation.
Over a thousand Chinese citizens living in Libya have already fled the country since May.
Another 900 have been staying behind.
Zhai Guohui, a Chinese national working for Libyan telecom company, is one of them.
"We work in communications, like telephones, but now, because of the fighting, Libya has a big big problem so we should go back to China. I like Libya and also I like Libya people and I want to come back, and (I'm) wishing for the Libyan fighting (to) finish."
Heavy fighting in many cities in Libya has prompted a wave of evacuations by foreign nationals, diplomats and Libyans.
Many are turning to Tunisia, where some 10-thousand have reportedly crossed the land border through Thursday.
Fighting among rival militias in Libya has escalated to the worst level since 2011, with a number of observers suggesting the current clashes could be the beginning of a full-scale civil war.
