CRI听力:Arab League Slams Israel during Emergency Meeting
The Arab League is describing Israel's conduct in the Gaza peace negotiations as "unacceptable."
The call has been made during an emergency negotiating session in Cairo.
Arab League chief Nabil Elaraby.
"The first and last objective must always be prohibiting Israel from the occupied territories, and creating a Palestinian state upon the 4 June borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. Israel's toying with peace negotiations so far is unacceptable."
Israeli and Palestinian negotiators have resumed indirect talks to try to bring the conflict in Gaza to an end.
The talks come amid a new three-day ceasefire, which began on Monday.
Hamas is demanding an end to the Israeli and Egyptian blockades of the Gaza Strip, as well as the opening of a seaport in the enclave.
However, Israel says it's too early to discuss the issue before a permanent peace agreement with the Palestinians is made.
The three-day ceasefire has seen trucks with aid to Gaza continuing to pour in.
Close to 2-thousand people, mostly Palestinian civilians, have been killed since the conflict erupted in Gaza on July 8th.
