A new campaign is underway to adjust the salary structures at China's large state-owned companies.
As part of a committee meeting this week, President Xi Jinping says the salaries and bonuses for executives major SOE's controlled by the central government are going to be amended.
Details of the new plan haven't been worked out yet.
But in releasing the concept, Xi Jinping says salary levels in state-owned enterprises need to be reasonable and efficiently supervised.
He's also calling on the executives affected to accept and support the plan.
For more on this, the Beijing Hour's Paul James spoke earlier with Shen Hong, Shanghai Bureau chief of the Wall Street Journal.
