Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says star player Christiano Ronaldo is in good shape and ready for today's second-leg matchup with Atetico Madrid at the Spanish Super Cup.

"He trained well today with the rest of the team. His training session has been regular. He's feeling fine and he's available tomorrow."

Ronaldo has been sidelined in recent months with injury problems.

Coach Ancelotti also confirmed that Argentine midfielder Angel di Maria has asked to leave 'Los Blancos' (the Whites) after rejecting a new contract.

"There's no discrepancy between what I think and what the club thinks, we both think the same thing regarding Di Maria's situation, which is clear, because the player has requested to leave during the summer and he has rejected an offer from the club. That's why we have searched for another player, and that's it. And this is a situation that should be fixed by the player himself."

The first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Tuesday (19 August) ended 1-1, with Atletico leveling in the 88th minute.
