CRI听力:Malaysia Airlines Confirms Surge in Employee Resignation
Around a thousand employees of Malaysia Airlines have reportedly quit this year.
Its being reported most of the cabin crews who have quit have done so at the behest of their families following the disappearance of MH370 and the shooting-down of MH17 over eastern Ukraine.
Malaysia Airlines has confirmed its now trying to cope with staff-shortages, which have also been brought on by a restructuring plan.
Mohd Kadir with Malaysia Airlines System Employees Union says the restructuring is mostly going to effect non-cabin crew employees.
"They have to come up with a proper plan. Number one, what exactly, because staff is a very important asset. They must come up with the proper numbers of staff to follow the size of the business. This is very important,"
Malaysia Airlines this week announced losses of some 90-million US dollars through the second quarter of this year.
