CRI听力:Rare Panda Triplets Turn One-month-old
The world's first known surviving panda triplets are now celebrating their one-month birthday in a Guangzhou-based zoo.
The triplets are set to be in good health after undergoing a checkup.
Dong Guixin is the manager of Chimelong Safari Park where the pandas are being taken care of.
"The panda cubs are very healthy after being taken care of, for 30 days. I should say it's great. You can see that the skin color of the cubs has turned black and white from pure pink after a month."
The triplet's mother, named Juxiao, gave birth to the two males and a female on July 29th.
Zoo officials say the cubs are still fragile.
"We are very careful not to make any mistakes. The staff are accompanying the cubs at all times and experts are monitoring the cubs when they are asleep."
Meanwhile, the zoo is now soliciting names for the cubs in a world-wide contest.
The winner will receive a 100-thousand yuan prize.
Forty-nine pandas were born in captivity in China last year.
However, only 42 of them survived.
