CRI听力:Trailer of "Mr. Deng Goes to Washington" Released
The filming of a documentary film that recorded late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping's 9-day visit to the US in 1979 has just been completed, which marks the 110th anniversary of Deng's birth.
Upon the completion of shooting, the film's production team released a trailer of "Mr. Deng Goes to Washington".
The trailer discloses a little bit of a wide range of interviews conducted with those who were involved in Deng's visit both in China and the US, including the US President Jimmy Carter.
The film tries to unveil what happened during Deng's visit, including the moment he was faced with an assassination threat.
The film director is Fu Hongxing, who is widely known for his work documenting significant historic events.
The film is expected to reach theaters during the 2015 Chinese Spring Festival holidays.
