CRI听力:BYD Unveils New Clean-energy Car "Black Knight"
Chinese auto maker BYD has released another Hybrid-Power Automobile called "Black Knight".
This is the first energy-efficient car released by a Chinese auto-maker after the government announced preferential purchase tax policies for certain environmentally friendly vehicles.
The "Black Knight" shares the advantages of BYD's Qin series.
Its Hybrid-Power technology can both capture clean-energy and improve fuel efficiency.
Deputy general manager of sales, Li Yunfei.
"This car is a two-mode hybrid, which means it can both use electricity and gas as fuel. For example, if you purchase the car, you can just use electricity for weekdays and that will provide 80 kilometers per day.
The cost is only one-fifth of the gas cost. During weekends, if you decide to drive a long distance for a holiday, you can drive to as far as Tibet by switching to gas."
The car has attracted customers' attention for its energy-efficiency and low cost.
"I like it because it has a low cost and it is also clean. It saves money, especially for personal use. It is a great bargain for people who need to drive to work every day."
BYD has been a leader in clean-energy automobile development and promotion in China.
The auto-maker also plans to release their "Dynasty" model vehicle next year.
