CRI听力:Adrian Peterson Reinstated by Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings has reinstated running back Adrian Peterson.
That was just two days after he was charged with child abuse.
Peterson had not commented publicly since news broke on Saturday.
He had lashed the boy with a rod earlier this summer, causing unspecified injuries according to the breaking news.
For the past week, the Minesota Vikings decided not to play Peterson against the Patriots, during which NFL came under heavy scrutiny for its handling of this assault case.
Rick Spielman, Vikings owners says they've decided to bring back Peterson for practices and Sunday's game at New Orleans.
"Over the weekend and early this morning we gathered as much information as we possibly could. We had multiple conversations with Adrian's attorneys and met several times with Adrian personally. Based on all that we made a decision that we felt was the right decision at this time"
Peterson faces a charge of reckless or negligent injury to a child.
His initial court appearance in Conroe, Texas, near Houston, was scheduled for October 8th.
And any more definitive decisions on Adrian Peterson's future with the NFL team he has ever played for will come out after the court decision.
