CRI听力:Tiger Woods: Strength back, Plays in December
Tiger Woods says his strength is back and he will play in a charity tournament in early December.
Woods has missed tournaments because of a lingering health issue, and missed the cut at the PGA Championship, but has announced he will play in the World Challenge.
"I got my strength back which is nice. The design was to start making golf swings at the end of September or early October. Then if I start early October I'll have two full months to prepare to play in the Hero World Challenge so I'm right on the timeline so that's perfect."
Woods made the remarks at a ceremony for the new title sponsor of his World Challenge.
Woods was also asked about missing the Ryder Cup which takes place in Gleneagles, Scotland on the 26th of September.
"I'm going to miss it a lot. You have bonds just because of that one week that you're bonded for life. It's just amazing what happens during that one week. We beat each other's brains in 51 weeks of the year, and then we all of a sudden come together and make friendships for a lifetime. It's pretty cool."
The Hero World Challenge is a 72-hole, stroke-play event co-sponsored by the PGA Tour.
17 of the PGA Tour's best players will join the competition for a million dollar top prize.
