CRI听力:English Premiere League: United Goes Down 5-3 to Newly-Promoted Leicester

2014-09-23来源:CRI

Manchester United took a 5-3 thumping on Sunday against newly-promoted Leicester City, who earned an impressive comeback win.

The match saw United's Robin Van Persie open scoring, with Angel Di Maria's goal putting United up 2-0 in the 16th minute.

But Ulloa answered just 60 seconds later to put Leicester on the board.

Ander Herrera put United ahead by two again in the 57th minute.

But an onslaught from Nugent, Cambiasso, Vardy and Ulloa left United's defense dumbfounded and put Leicester up 5-3.

Leicester's Manager Nigel Pearson was delighted to clinch the W in a come-from-behind victory:

"I think at 3-1 down I would have been very happy to get back into it and get anything out of it but to come away with a win, I think, what it will do is generate probably more scrutiny about them than it probably will us but, of course, I am really pleased we decided to go about the game in the way that we did."

Chelsea remains at the top with 13 points after drawing 1-1 with Manchester City.

Tottenham suffered a 1-0 home defeat to West Brom.

Crystal Palace gained three critical points after beating Everton 3-2 at Everton.

West Ham beat last season runner up Liverpool 3-1. That result moves Sam Allardyce's side above Liverpool, who sit 10th after five rounds.

QPR and Stoke drew 2-2. Arsenal jumped into the top four after beating Aston Villa 3-0, Burnely and Sunderland held each other to a scoreless draw. Steve Bruce's side couldn't quite capitalize on their away game at league strugglers Newcastle, but settled for a 2-2 draw. And Southampton beat Swansea 1-0.
