The Pittsburgh Pirates edge the Atlanta Braves 3-2 to clinch the NL wildcard.
This is the Pirates back-to-back win to clinch the playoff spot since the 1991/1992 season.
The LA Dodgers are now within 1 game of clinching the NL west after beating the San Francisco Giants 4-2.
Over in the American League,
The Kansas City Royals' 7-1 victory over Cleveland tie them with Oakland for the AL wildcard spot after the A's lost to western division champs LA Angles 2-0.
KC's win also brings them just behind central division leaders Detroit.
But the Tigers hold on to their one-game lead after beating the Chicago White Sox 4-3.
Seattle's playoff bid takes a hit with their 2-10 loss against the Blue Jays. The Mariners now trail behind Oakland and KC by three games.
