CRI听力:Giant Panda Base Announce Visitor Cap
The Giant panda breeding base in Sichuan's capital, Chengdu, is going to be limiting the number of tourists allowed into the facility during the week-long National Day holiday.
Officials at the reserve are worried about the fragile ecosystem.
Fei Lisong, deputy director of the base, says only 15-thousand visitors will be allowed in on a daily basis over the October Golden Week.
"An increasing visitors will affect the travel quality, and the overwhelming flux of tourists will also create mental pressure for pandas here. So we suggest tourists to visit the park avoiding the rush."
The base in Chengdu is the largest in the world, home to 128 giant pandas.
It saw nearly 200-thousand people roll through its gates during the National Day holiday last year.
