CRI听力:China's State Councilor on Two-day Visit to Malaysia
Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi is describing China's relationship with Malaysia as one of 'fundamental importance'.
Yang Jiechi has made the comments as part of a 2-day visit to the country.
"This is a relationship of fundamental importance to both of our countries. It shows that is sound and smooth and ever-developing relationship between our two countries. It gives the greatest of benefit to both of our peoples and to the region,"
Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein, following a meeting with Yang Jiechi, says China and Malaysia are working closely to monitor militant activity.
"Navigating issues regarding militancy in all forms and working across divides and fault lines, and possible hotspots is something that we building right now, and I believe if we do get it right, there is nothing that can stop us moving even further ahead."
The two have also discussed the search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370.
