CRI听力:Mobile Operators Ready for iPhone 6 Launch on Chinese Mainland
Apple's new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are now open for pre-ordering on the Chinese mainland.
The models will be available next Friday.
Markets are betting on the new iPhone models to generate sizable profits.
China's three operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, have launched preferential iPhone contracts to lure buyers.
Mao Caiping is on the staff at China Unicom.
"We have launched iPhone 6 contracts in which customers can get a new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus for free and receive extra credit for phone calls. Both our outlets and website are now open to take pre-orders for the new iPhones and related contracts."
"Our outlet now gets around 30 pre-orders a day."
As well as mobile operators, large e-commerce platforms in China have also joined the race.
JD.com has so far received more than 7 million pre-orders for the two new iPhone models.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were released last month in the United States and some other countries.
The new smartphones have become an instant hit worldwide, with over 10 million sold within three days.
