CRI听力:Oscar Pistorius Leaves Court after a Hearing
The first day of sentencing in the Oscar Pistorius case has come to an end in Pretoria.
The 27-year-old is waiting to hear his fate after being convicted of culpable homicide last month for the shooting death of his girlfriend friend Reeva Steenkamp in 2013.
Psychologist Lore Hartzenberg has delivered testimony at the sentencing hearing.
"What we are left with my lady. We are left with a broken man who has lost everything.. On an emotional level, his self perception."
The judge in the case can render a sentence anywhere from 15-years in prison to a suspended sentence.
Legal observer Anton van Staden says it appears home arrest could be one of the options.
"There is various possible sentences that the court can impose, One of it, is this probation situation, which I think in the circumstances is appropriate,"
The sentencing hearing will continue later on this Tuesday.
