CRI听力:Wozniacki Beats Radwanska in Singapore
Eighth-seed Caroline Wozniacki beat sixth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska 7-5, 6-3 at the WTA Tour Championships Finals in Singapore on Thursday.
The 24-year-old was well prepared and stayed patient during the match.
"I always knew that it was going to be a tough match today. Aga's (Agnieszka Radwanska) a tough player. She gets so many balls back, she has great hands and good feeling, so I knew there would be some ridiculous shot making in there at times. So, I just knew I had to try and stay aggressive but not overly aggressive and just be patient really."
It was also a very strong showing for Serena Williams, who recovered from her worst loss in 16 years to dump Eugenie Bouchard 6-1, 6-1.
She credits her coach with helping her bounce back from yesterday's tough defeat.
"My coach Patrick really helped me out, he was so positive and I don't, it was just, it was such, it was really good for me to hear that because it was the only reason I was able to play so well today."
