CRI听力:Travelers Welcome 72-hour Visa-Free Stay in E China's Zhejiang
The province of Zhejiang has become the latest to bring in 72-hour visa-free stays for foreign travelers.
International passengers from 51 countries can now transit through the main airport in Hangzhou without a visa for a 3-day stay, provided they have a flight to a 3rd country.
The new policy is meant to try to improve the province's business and tourism sectors.
"It will be really helpful because it takes a week to get a visa in Hong Kong. So then it will be very helpful if we could come without visa for 72 hours."
"Surely our friends and ourselves will come often, even transit overnight. At least we can stay here for a few days. So we can enjoy the scenery here. Very good"
A special route of entry has been set up for transit visitors at the airport in Hangzhou.
The city itself is one of China's more popular tourist destinations
