Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi says China is ready for the APEC meetings to be held in Beijing next month.
Wang Yi says Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation has become the top dialogue and cooperation mechanism for the region and has a global impact.
He outlines three major goals of the Beijing meetings.
"We expect to make new outcomes in advancing Asia-Pacific partnership, jointly building an open Asia-Pacific economic pattern, and mapping out a blueprint for future development of APEC."
This is the second time for the APEC meetings to be held in China, with the first time in Shanghai in 2001.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of APEC.
