CRI听力:Neil Young is not Slowing down
The legendary 68-year-old musician Neil Young is not slowing down. Young recently published a memoir, launched a digital music player, dropped his 35th studio album and put on his first ever art exhibition.
The singer-songwriter, who is sometimes referred to as "the godfather of grunge," said his new album "Storytone" is a bit of a departure.
"It's an album of new songs that I did with an orchestra, sometimes up to 92 pieces and I sang in the studio live with the orchestra,"
The album includes 10 new songs, both with full orchestration and solo acoustic guitar.
Young recently raised more than $6 million through a Kickstarter campaign to fund his digital music project, PonoMusic.
The PonoMusic player costs $399 and debuted in October.
PonoMusic also launched an online music store.
