CRI听力:David Beckham Visits Seoul to Promote New Whiskey Brand
Former soccer star David Beckham was in Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday to promote new whiskey brand Haig Club Whiskey.
Beckham who is the international ambassador for the brand attended a press conference to introduce Haig Club Whiskey to the South Korean media. He was joined by the company's South Korean ambassador, actor Lee Seo-jin.
Beckham recalled his last visit to the country when he was still a soccer player.
"It's great to be back here in Korea. Like you said, six years ago I was here. I was a football player then and now I'm a businessman, which is something I'm very proud of. We've been working very hard."
Beckham appears to be keeping heimself busy after his retirement from soccer, with a range of business ventures including his underwear collection for the fashion brand H&M and his own perfume line.
