CRI听力:NFL Wide Receiver Jerry Rice Visits China
The NFL Home Field at Beijing Normal University welcomed a special guest from the United States yesterday.
Jerry Rice, the legendary NFL wide receiver greeted the hundreds of fans and did clinics with young players.
Rice is the latest NFL star to visit China, joining a list of football's ambassadors which includes Joe Montana, Barry Sanders, LaDainian Tomlinson, Tony Dorsett and Ndamukong Suh.
Rice visited the Great Wall on Saturday and said he wants to spread his passion for NFL.
"My mission for coming here is to let them know that American Football is the best sport ever. I mean what I poured into it, by doing everything in the right way and we have such great fans. They come out and they support us and we always want to go out and put on a good show on the football field."
Rice will travel to Shanghai to be the special guest at next weekend's University Bowl VI.
University Bowl VI caps off the second season of 'NFL Home Field', an initiative spanning ten weekends which provides a home base for American Football in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
