The governments of China and New Zealand are due to sign a new deal connected to joint TV productions later Thursday.
The new deal is supposed to make it easier for either side to access one-another's television broadcasts for promotional work.
New Zealand's tourism industry has increasingly been looking toward China as one of its main countries to draw from.
Around 250-thousand people from China visited New Zealand last year.
The 2003 release of the first Lord of the Rings film, all of which are shot in New Zealand, has seen tourism in New Zealand increase three-fold since that time.
CRI's financial commentator Cao Can explains more on the new media agreement in a live discussion.
