CRI听力:Premier Promises Vigorous Support for E-business

2014-11-21来源:CRI

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang says the Chinese government is throwing its vigorous support behind the development of the Internet for job creation.

The Premier has made the comments while meeting with internet leaders attending this week's global internet conference in east China's Zhejiang.

"The e-business has emerged as a promising industry over recent years in China. It needs financial support and preferential tax policies. It may also eat into the profits in traditional sectors. But to boost the development of new business models, create more jobs and especially help common people to start up their own business, the government will firmly support the development of e-commerce and also cross-border e-business."

At the same time, Li Keqiang says the Chinese government wants to see the internet in China develop in an orderly manner.

"Both dynamism and order are necessary for the development of internet. Without dynamism, the cyberspace would lose its charm. Without order, there would be no security and trust in the virtual world. The government will work with all related parties to crack down on internet-based copyright and privacy infringement and safeguard the rights of internet users."

The three-day conference in the town of Wuzhen, which wraps up later today, has attracted roughly a thousand Internet professionals from around the world.
