CRI听力:China to Begin Annual Economic Meeting Today
China's annual Central Economic Work Conference is set to open later today here in Beijing.
The work conference will set the tone for next year's economic policy making and the growth rate target for the coming year.
There are many hints from the government and forecasts on the market.
Last Friday, during the meeting of the Politburo, Chinese president Xi Jinping encouraged the economy to adapt to the new normal, hinting the country will continue structural reforms.
An official from China's central bank has also said more financial reforms are expected, on the base of deposit insurances that are launched last month.
Efforts related to the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road are also expected to be discussed.
For more on this, we are now joined live by Gao Shang, analyst with Guantong Futures.
