CRI听力:Arrests Made in Taliban Attack: Pakistan
Pakistan interior minister Cudahy Naris has announced that arrests have been made in the case of the Taliban school massacre.
"A few suspects have been taken into custody. Kindly allow me not to divulge either the number or their identities but quite a few suspects, who were facilitators in some way or the other, and the interrogation is moving ahead in a very positive manner. Kindly wait for just a few days before we give you the details because there are still certain, the arrest have been made as result of that from all over the country."
He added that all the suspects who carried out the attack on the school were Pakistani.
He also reconfirmed that the decision to lift the 2008 moratorium on executions in the country was brought forward on the army chief's request following the massacre.
Over the weekend, 6 men convicted on terrorism charges have been executed.
Earlier last week, 7 Taliban gunmen wearing explosive belts stormed into a military run school in Peshawar, slaughtering 141 people including 132 students.
